Once Honus Wagner was done being one of the greatest baseball players in history, he rejoined the Pittsburgh Pirates as a coach for another 39 years. Written on Seventh Avenue Hotel stationery (Pittsburgh, PA) and dated 2/24/48, the featured handwritten letter is basically a pep talk from the coach to a player coming to spring training with hopes of making the team. The letter is signed J. Honus Wagner, Carnegie PA and is matted and framed with a glossy black & white image of "The Flying Dutchman" that measures approximately 19" x 16."
