The wood-grain border on the front of the 1966 Topps football series is highly reminiscent of the 1955 Bowman baseball issue, and the fact that it is prone to chipping and wear makes the cards tough to find in high grade. This particular set is a modest mid to upper-grade collection at 25% NM or better, 25% EX/MT or better, 20% EX, 30% VG/EX or lower and needs just #15 Funny Ring Checklist for completion. The key cards in this set grade as follows: 1 Addison VG/EX, 26 Kemp VG/EX+, 48 Blanda NM, 61 Checklist EX, 67 Dawson EX/MT+, 96 Namath VG/EX, 104 Biletnikoff VG, 119 Alworth EX and 132 Checklist EX (OC). Also includes extras of #26 Kemp GOOD and 199 Alworth VG/EX.
