Topps' main competitor from 1952-55, the Bowman Company got a head start in the baseball card world in 1948 and was bought out by Topps following the release of the 1955 collection. This tremendous group offers up over 400 Bowman cards from 1950-55, including a 1955 Bowman starter set of 243 cards mostly VG to EX with #202 Mantle VG and about 60 extras (mostly GOOD to VG). Includes the following: 1950 Bowman - 7 cards GOOD to VG. 1951 Bowman - 40 cards VG to EX with 10% NM. 1952 Bowman - 25 cards VG to EX with some higher or lower, and 1954 Bowman - 44 cards VG to EX with some higher or lower. Key cards in the 1955 Bowman starter set besides the Mantle are #1 Wilhelm VG/EX, 59 Ford GOOD+, 89 Boudreau EX, 171 Roberts GOOD, 191 Lemon EX/MT and 197 Kiner VG.
