It was a St. Louis vs. St. Louis World Series and with the Browns holding a 2-1 edge, Stan the Man parked a homer to right field to give the Redbirds a 2-0 first inning lead in Game 4. The Cardinals went on to win that game and sweep Games 5 and 6 to win it all. This ticket stub comes from that Game 4, the turning point of the 1944 Series. PSA authenticated.
