Hall of Famer Dennis Eckersley notched his first win as a major leaguer on May 2nd, 1975 by pitching 2 1/3 scoreless innings in a 4-3 victory over the Orioles. It was Eck's fifth appearance of the season and ran his shutout streak to 6 1/3 innings, a mark that would reach 28 scoreless innings to start his career.
