The New York Giants avoided a sweep at the hands of the New York Yankees by taking Game 4, 7-3, but Lou Gehrig went deep in the top of the 9th for the Yanks, the 10th and final World Series homer in his career. The Bombers made it back to the championship series the next season but Gehrig failed to park one over the fence.
