In 1967, the Mets went from unwatchable to unwatchable except for when Tom Seaver took the mound, and "Tom Terrific" followed up a complete game victory five days earlier by going the distance again in a 3-2 win over the Braves. That ran Seaver's lifetime record to 8-5, while the Met's record in all other games at that point was 22-42. If only they could figure a way to pitch him every game. PSA authenticated.
