While Joe DiMaggio was succeeding Lou Gehrig as the next great superstar to lead the Yankees dynasty, brother Dom was an integral part of the Boston Red Sox and wingman to another legend in Ted Williams. Though Dom was not a baseball legend in comparison to "The Yankee Clipper", he was an efficient ballplayer with a career .298 average and seven all-star appearances.
