Like a few others from the anonymous series that have surfaced in recent years, most notably from the famed "Black Swamp" find, this E98 example of Hall of Famer Johnny Evers has defied the ravages of time to emerge in a near-perfect state. The contrast of the three surface pigments has to leave you wondering which offers the most in terms of factory-freshness; the deep red backdrop, the clean slate gray of the uniform, or the blinding stark whiteness of the pristine border. Each corner is of true MINT to GEM MINT quality while the reverse appears as though it hasn't aged a day, though it's actually been well over a century.
