Collected from 1951-55 by the consignor (and he offered a $2 reward if found with his address and phone number to contact him in Washington DC), this vintage autograph book is jam-packed with well over 300 signatures, many of common athletes with a few real treasures in the mix. Some pages contain many signings while others display one or two, but the entire assemblage is a fantastic time capsule of a golden age in American history. In addition to the many Washington area players that were easier for a kid to obtain, Hall of Famer signatures include an early-career Mickey Mantle, and Stengel, Berra, T. Williams, Greenberg, Kiner, Ford, Feller, Fox, Lopez, Wynn, Lemon, (2) Slaughter, Boudreau, Kell, (2) Van Brocklin, "Crazy Legs" Hirsh, and Robustelli. Other key signatures include (2) Larsen, Colavito, E. Howard, Sain, Sievers, "Tank" Younger, and Fears. Most notable is the very rare and difficult signature of "The Golden Greek'Harry Agganis.
