While tobacco and caramel cards dominated the entry into the 20th century, Sweet Caporal changed the shape of things by offering up round baseball disks in addition to their rectangular pasteboard with this 1909-12 Domino Disk of all-time baseball legend Ty Cobb. One of only a few in the series to sport a variation, this particular piece has the Detroit Tigers old-English "D" on the cap and appears superior to the PSA 6 grade with just some common age erosion along the metal rim tempering the grade. The red background coloring is plenty bold and the overall presentation is magnificent. One of the more obscure offerings in the Ty Cobb library.
