Issued to commemorate the New York Giants' 1905 World Series championship, the Ullman Postcard "Art Frame" series remains scarce and highly sought-after by today's collectors. The featured example depicts twirler Hooks Wiltse, nicknamed for his highly effective curve ball, graded 1.5 FR by SGC. Moderate yet even corner wear is present, but the image of the player is crisply detailed and presents with excellent contrast. The reverse is addressed to a resident of Somerville, New Jersey with a 1-cent stamp and a cancellation date of October 3, 1906. A pleasing example from an issue not often seen at auction, perfect for any advanced type collection.
