Offered is an appealing item from the frustratingly elusive 1968 Topps All-Star Plaks test issue in the form of a three-player sprue containing Tom Davis, Jim Wynn, and Richie Allen. This seldom-seen collectible hails from an issue that never saw national or even regional distribution and surviving examples are traced to the families of former Topps employees. The offered sprue shows a separation of the plastic pegs on the base as well as two breaks in the rectangular frame, explaining why these never made it into production. A rare piece nonetheless and a wonderful addition to any vintage collection.
