Known for making sturdy cast iron piggy banks in the 1910s-1920s, this vintage specimen comes from the A. C. Williams factory and depicts a black baseball player in gray uniform and red stirrups. Although the player is black, the company primarily made its banks in the image of Ty Cobb. Similar banks of "Cobb" have been seen in an all-gold design as well as painted with different uniform colors. Measuring roughly 6" tall and weighing 10 ounces, this is a fantastic piece of baseball Americana.
