Normally portrayed on cards in a follow-through pose, Yankees HOFer Whitey Ford is pictured on this 1953 Bowman Color card in a state of youthful exuberance, staring at the ball in amazement almost as if he is stunned by his own talents. Graded SGC 5.5, the overall delivery of the card is obviously better than the grade to compensate for the centering bias. A clean, mid-grade card of "The Chairman of the Board."
