If there was ever a baseball player who could have been inducted into the Hall of Fame purely on his defensive prowess, it would be Baltimore Orioles third baseman Brooks Robinson. Oh, but he didn't have to, raking 268 homers while wrapping out 2,848 hits and leading the American League in RBI in his MVP season of 1964. And he got even better in the postseason, registering a career .303 average (a 36-point bump from his lifetime batting average) and was World Series MVP in 1970. The 16 consecutive gold gloves he earned at the hot corner was just the icing on the cake for punching his ticket to Cooperstown. "The Human Vacuum Cleaner" earned his last gold glove in 1975 while donning this Wilson size 42 gamer, as confirmed by the tagging inside the collar. Robinson has signed the jersey on the left tail in bold black marker next to a team stitched "&5 1" swatch to verify the year and set number. Light to moderate puckering is evident on the all-original stitched identifiers and the jersey has been authenticated by MEARS with a perfect score of A10, citing heavy game use. A truly amazing jersey from a popular Hall of Famer and arguably the best defensive player of the modern era. LOA from MEARS Graded A10, LOA Sports Investors With Photo Match.
