Issued by the Philadelphia Chewing Gum Company in 1966, the offered card marks the initial pasteboard appearance of Dick Butkus, football Hall of Famer and all-around intimidating tough guy. This card shows an extremely light rough cut along the edges with an image that is supremely focused and full of detail, while the entire surface is devoid of readily visible print marks. An important rookie card.
