The offered tantalizingly beautiful 1953 Bowman Bob Feller appears as though it was just recently unearthed from a pack yesterday. Bob Feller is pictured on what appears to be a side field at the Indians' spring training facility, most likely working to regain his form and bounce back from a sub par year in which he went 9-13 in 1952. Issued among the exceptionally difficult higher-numbered series of the 1953 Bowman Color issue comes this absolute work of art. Though centered mildly toward the top edge, well within NM/MT standards, the brightness of the white borders attempt to draw the eye away from all the color in the middle to the four NM/MT corners. A difficult high-grade specimen for an immensely popular set!
