Offered is an attractive and stunning mid-grade copy of one of the most important post-war cards ever made featuring the "Say Hey Kid." A well-centered card with fine aesthetic qualities such as clarity and color, which in this case are the exception and not the rule. He won the 1951 Rookie of the Year Award and was instrumental in the Giants' comeback in August and September 1951 to overtake the Dodgers in the pennant race. Mays ended the regular season in the on-deck circle when Bobby Thomson hit the "Shot Heard "Round the World" against the Brooklyn Dodgers, putting the Giants in The World Series.
