Dating back to the end of the 19th century, this Whitehead & Hoag pin featured bare-knuckle boxer and champion John L. Sullivan. The image of Sullivan is impressively clean and sharp considering the pin's advanced age with very little evidence of again on the reverse, which explains the advanced grade of PSA 7 NM.
