Sponsored and distributed by American Motors at dealerships to help promote the contest, this Bob Cerv card celebrates one of the participants of the televised Home Run Derby. The 1959 Home Run Derby card is among the most difficult and valuable of post-war issues, not to mention very condition-sensitive. This card is graded PSA 4 but you wouldn't know it going by eye-appeal as the card has a clean, glossy surface and solid centering. Included is a promo photo of Cerv, used to stir up publicity for his matchup against teammate Mickey Mantle.
