Vintage collectors don't particularly care for the uninspiring brown borders of the 1968 Topps series but give high marks to the rookie cards of Nolan Ryan and Johnny Bench, two of the most important debut issues of the past 50 years. If you're been wanting to pick up a 1968 Topps set, this one is pretty exceptional at 10% MINT or better, 55% NM/MT, 30% NM, and 5% lower; basically a NM/MT to GEM MINT collection with the usual centering issues. Eight cards are graded: PSA 9 - #100 Gibson, 330 Maris, and 408 Carlton. PSA 8 - #177 Ryan RC (OC), 250 Yastrezmski, and 355 Banks. PSA 7 - #247 Bench RC and 280 Mantle. Includes #20 B. Robinson MINT, 45 Seaver NT/MT (OC), 50 Mays NM (MC), 80 Carew NM/MT, 85 Perry NM/MT+, 86 Stargell NM/MT+, 110 Aaron NM/MT (OC), 150 Clemente NM/MT (OC), 230 Rose NM (MC), 290 McCovey NM/MT, 370 Aaron AS NM, 374 Clemente AS MINT (OC), 480 Managers’ Dream NM/MT (OC), 490 Super Stars NM+, and 500 F. Robinson NM.
