In my time in this fabulous hobby of ours, every once in a while I see something that actually takes me back. Featured is one of those times! A group of twenty four (24) 1971 Topps Football Unopened rack packs which is equivalent to one unopened 1971 Topps rack pack box! It appears to us that 18 of the rack packs are from the lower numbered (1-132) series while Six (6) of the rack packs hail from the high numbered series (133-263). My best guess as this group (box) hails from a small find and there were no other rack packs found is that Topps most likely may have put together the .49 cent rack packs late in the year and included several of the higher numbered packs with this group which was at one time inclusive of the rack pack box. Either way the lot is an imagination conjuring adventure of what may lie within these archaic unopened racks. The packs display as absolutely brand new with many stars appearing on the front or back.
