This original type I photo captures the legendary Babe Ruth making his final appearance at Yankee Stadium on June 13, 1948, getting a warm reception from the crowd to mark the 25th anniversary of "the house that Ruth built" and the retirement of his #3. Ruth is shown addressing the Yankees Stadium faithful and the New York Daily News got the shot. The 8 x 10 photo has a "The News" stamp on the reverse and shows the usual surface scratches but they are minimal for the photo's age. Full LOA from PSA/DNA.
