Mickey Mantle takes some practice cuts while Roger Maris settles in at the plate on this original type I 8 x 10 photo. Stamped Jul 28, 1961, Maris stood at 40 homers, a few ahead of Mantle, in their famed home run race. The photo shows nothing more than nominal traces of wear, unusual for a snapshot almost 60 years old. LOA from PSA/DNA.
