Ok, let's see if we can clarify this a little. What we have here is, or rather what started out as, a 2004-05 Upper Deck Sweet Shots #52 LeBron James patch card with a patch of a jersey worn by King James during the 2003-04 season. The card was then part of an Upper Deck buyback program whereupon it was autographed by LeBron, becoming then a 2004-05 Ultimate Collection Buybacks card, which was submitted to Beckett for grading and authentication. As part of the buyback program, an Upper Deck hologram sticker was affixed to the back of the card, and the buyback number 06/11 was handwritten on the front of the card by an Upper Deck representative, which required BGS to assign a grade of Authentic-Altered rather than a numerical grade, and the autograph was given a 9 for the grade. Thus, what is important to clarify is that the card has not been trimmed, recolored, pressed, or anything else in a malicious or deceptive fashion; it is 100% as it was when it was pulled from the pack except for the autograph, the numbering and the UD hologram sticker. It is a very scarce LeBron James autographed card that is worthy of inclusion in any advanced collection.
