Virgil Trucks began his professional baseball career in 1938 as an 21-year old in class A ball and is credited with a 25-6 record, a 1.25 ERA and a whopping 418 strikeouts in 273 innings. He also tossed four minor league no hitters and followed it up with two no-no outings as a member of the Tigers in 1952. Offered is a stunning MINT example of Virgil's 1956 Topps card that is surpassed by one just other on the PSA pop report. Other than the very slight positioning toward the bottom horizontal edge, it's right there with any GEM MINT example.
