Hailed as one of the finest collections ever produced by Topps, the 1955 series features a bumper crop of key rookie cards, with Koufax, Clemente and Killebrew making their inaugural pasteboard appearances. For the first time, cards were issued in horizontal format, with both the player portrait and the action shot on the front in full color. The featured collections needs just six cards to be complete (#4 Kaline, 25 Podres, 50 J. Robinson, 124 Killebrew, 164 Clemente, and 194 Mays) with five SGC graded cards: #2 T. Williams SGC 5, 28 Banks SGC 6.5, 31 Spahn SGC 7, 47 Aaron SGC 6.5, and 123 Koufax RC SGC 5) and card #26 Dick Groat is autographed. Overall, the collection is approximately 15% EX/MT or better, 40% EX, 35% VG/EX and 10% lower with #1 Rhodes EX/MT, 24 Newhouser EX, 120 Kluszewski EX, 125 Boyer EX/MT+, 155 Mathews EX/MT (ST), 187 Hodges VG/EX, 189 Rizzuto EX, 198 Berra VG, and 210 Snider EX/MT (OC).
