Maximillian George Carnarius, better known as Max Carey, was a true five-tool player who batted over .300 in eight different seasons, and stole 738 bases, including 33 at home. These numbers got him inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1961, and he has delivered a strong autograph in black fiber tip ink on the side panel of this lightly shellacked baseball, with the inscription "Seek the Star Beyond."
