Presented on an official NBC (National Baseball Congress) ball that probably dates to the 1930s, Joe DiMaggio has placed a strong, flowing signature across the sweet spot in black ink. The NBC was an early semi-pro tournament founded in Wichita in 1935, and founder Raymond "Hap" Dumont persuaded the great Satchel Paige to bring his touring team for the inaugural contests. The Joe D signature on the ball dates to early in his career, setting this on apart from the multitudes of orbs signed after his playing days had ended. The ball appears to have a very light layer of shellack applied but the stampings, stitching and autograph present at a strong level. LOA from PSA/DNA.
