Looking through our auction software at prices realized retroactive to 2008, wondering when the last time we sold a single-signed Sam Rice ball, I realized we never have! That's pretty amazing considering all the items we've sold in the last 12 years. Yep, single-signed Sam Rice balls are really that tough! The offered sphere bears a very strong signature on the side panel that rates in the "8-9" range in terms of strength, on a creamy white MacGregor baseball that displays with bold, red stitching and shows no readily visible signs of age toning. Odds are that if you have an advanced Hall of Fame autograph collection, you still need one of these! LOA from PSA/DNA which notes that "1954" has been written on the ball in an unknown hand.
