Known for his miraculous .345 career batting average that has him placed #6 on the all-time list, Hall of Famer Tris Speaker was also one of the greatest base runners in the history of the sport. His uncanny instincts, combined with his blazing speed and ability to put the ball in play, helped him routinely stretch a single into a double as Speaker concluded his 22-year career as the game's all-time leader with 792 career doubles, a mark that still stands nearly a century later. Speaker made three trips to the World Series (twice with Boston in 1912 and 1915, and once with Cleveland in 1920) and won them all. Presented is Tris Speaker's stunning autograph on this Official Southern Association baseball, a brilliant ball-point pen sweet-spot penning that is one of the strongest that we've ever seen. Both the signature and the ball looks as if they were placed in a time capsule in the mid 20th century and remain undisturbed until today. Quite simply it's among the finest examples ever offered for public sale. Double authenticated, earning an LOA from JSA as well as a letter from PSA/DNA, it's a centerpiece to any autographed baseball collection.
