Presented is a 1923 W572 uncut strip of ten cards. Over the years, several of the twelve 10-card strips that comprise this series have surfaced, mostly containing common players with a few lesser Hall of Famers sprinkled in. And maybe the term "lesser" is a little harsh, but the sheet offered here is far and away the best of the series, starring Ty Cobb, Walter Johnson, and Babe Ruth, so that seemed like the best way to describe it. Yes, arguably the three biggest names in baseball at the time all appear on this nearly century-old strip, each HOF legend appearing just as if the strip was released last week. Though partially separated in the center, which is more visible from the blank reverse, the strip remains intact and the center fold does not affect the three Cooperstown legends as Cobb (3rd), Johnson (8th) and Ruth (9th) are not affected by either the fold nor the moderately rounded corners of the first and last card. This strip measures approximately 13 1/2" x 2 1/2" and would look amazing framed.
