With Topps and Bowman attempting to secure the exclusive rights of star players to trading card contracts, the resulting feud left collectors with two incomplete 1954 issues. This opened the door for alternative sets that were packaged with products ranging from meat to dog food. One such popular issue, generally found in low grade due to the method of distribution, was the 1954 Dan-Dee set. Presented is a complete Dan Dee collection, completely PSA graded and listed as #6 on the PSA Set Registry. The collection is led by a stunning example of Mickey Mantle graded PSA 9 (OC), with eight cards graded PSA 8, one PSA 7.5, 18 cards graded PSA 7 with Hodges, Fleer, Rizzuto, and Snider, and one PSA 5.5.
