Here's one of those situations where the technical grade is accurate but the eye-appeal makes it considerably more impressive. Featured is one of the true key cards of the T206 series, a portrait variation of "The Big Train" Walter Johnson. Rounded corners and a centering shift commensurate with the grade are evident, but the overall quality of the squared perimeter is far in excess of what is customary for a card with a VG+ grade. Even more alluring is the central image with a sharp rendition of the baseball legend amid a bright yellow backdrop that offers no significant liabilities. The T206 Johnson portrait specimen is fine card at any grade level but for a grade of VG+, this one is especially enticing.
