Once you get outside the Wagner, Plank, and the crazy-hard variation cards in the T206 series, next up in level of importance is "The Georgia Peach" Ty Cobb. As you can imagine, even low-grade specimens are insanely pricey and, well, look like low-grade specimens. Here's a fantastic example that SGC has deemed AUTHENTIC but looks as good as any you'll ever see! Near-perfect centering, keen NM to NM/MT endpoints and a radiant central image of Cobb, surrounded by that overflowing red pigmentation ranks right up there with the very finest specimens known. In fact, the red backdrop is so deep and robust that has bled through onto the equally well-framed Piedmont reverse. If you're a collector that doesn't care as much about technical grades as having a specimen that presents as museum quality, this card will bring you a lot of satisfaction.
