Even in street clothes and three years after his retirement, 44-year old Ty Cobb looks like he can still swing the lumber in this original 6 1/2" x 8 1/2" black and white photo. Other than a few light marks scattered on the surface, this snapshot is in very high-grade condition and features editor's notations, an Acme Newspapers stamp and a date stamp of April 23, 1931. Included is the teletyped newspaper caption.
