He was the first black player in baseball history, and 15 years later, broke the color barrier again as the first black member of the Baseball Hall of Fame. The black and white Artvue Hall of Fame plaque Type 2 series was issued from 1956-63, ending shortly after Jackie Robinson's induction in 1962, but Robinson earned a spot in the series and the featured card bears his signature in ballpoint pen with "Best Wishes" inscription. A clean, flowing autograph of "MINT 9" strength in our opinion, it's a proper inclusion for any collector with an appreciation for the history of the game. Full LOA from JSA.
