Though well into retirement, "The Babe" was always a willing participant to visit children in the hospital, and here he is in this 6 1/2" x 8 1/2" original type I photo, cheering on the kids and handing out Christmas presents at the Hospital for Joint Diseases in New York City, December 1941. Moderate wear and cracking on the surface and tears on the left and right border are present but the photo still presents well. Full LOA from JSA.
