There's certainly a pretty strong selection of Michael Jordan rookie cards in this auction, and with the demand for "His Airness" at an all-time high, each passing day takes the advanced collector further and further away from securing a high-grade specimen. The featured card has earned a grade of NM/MT+ 8.5 by Beckett and has an appearance every bit as strong as most MINT examples that we've seen. First off, the centering is nearly perfect with left to right framing within a degree of 50/50 and top to bottom centering extremely close as well but very slightly shaded toward the bottom. The corners and edges are rated by Beckett as 9.0 and 9.5 respectively, keeping the card out off of the MINT level due to a score of 8.0 for the surface though we really don't see the reason for it. If you're in the market for a top-notch Michael Jordan rookie card and want to get good value, this one could be had for the fraction of the price of a higher graded example that, to be honest, might not appear any better to the naked eye.
