Perhaps you're strictly a vintage collector or concentrate solely on baseball cards. But if there's one card out there that is an exception to the rule for an advanced collector, it's the red, white, and blue 1986 Fleer Michael Jordan rookie card. Not just his debut card but one of the most stunning visual pieces ever devoted to the hardcourt, the MJ debut pasteboard brings instant notoriety to any collection, but examples in the MINT to GEM MINT range have risen so high that even well-funded collectors have second thoughts about pulling the trigger. With that in mind, consider this SGC 92 NM/MT+ 8.5 specimen that looks every bit as good as one in a MINT hold, and quite frankly, probably should be in one as well. The centering, both top to bottom as well as side to side, is nearly perfect, with corners that qualify for the MINT consideration. We can only surmise that the half-point reduction is due to a slight chip near the bottom of the right edge, barely detectable to the naked eye. That barely perceptible blemish is well worth keeping a few thousand dollars in your pocket, and you're getting an iconic specimen with framing and eye appeal superior to even some GEM MINT examples. That's definitely worth a bid, don't you think?
