Venerable Yankee hurler Allie "Superchief" Reynolds is depicted with startling contrast and clarity on this 1951 Bowman card, graded PSA 8. Displaying excellent centering, a feat made all the more difficult by the narrow borders, the card's backdrop is awash with vivid hues of green which give way to the solid earth tones as the viewer progresses toward the lower border. A wonderful cardboard artifact for the serious post-war collector.
