The iconic T206 series is loaded with baseball immortals, but "The Georgia Peach" Ty Cobb stands head and shoulders above them all. And in this case, one of those shoulders has a bat resting upon it. Graded PSA 5, this example has an impressively bright and clean image of Cobb, far superior to most in its grading class, to offset the common centering shift toward the top edge. Bright, bold hues of yellow and green converge in the background to form a perfect orange sunset backdrop to compliment the fierce demeanor of Cobb. Solid white borders further help define the colorful interior. The four corners show nominal wear that could be best described as average for the grade. The reverse is stain-free. A very pleasing example of one of the hobby's best early 20th century creations.
