The 1949 Bowman series is one of the strongest assemblages ever created from a standpoint of rookie cards and other key important issues, with the featured item leading the charge. Essential to any advanced collection, this 1949 Bowman card of Jackie Robinson features very strong centering, somewhat uncommon for this condition-sensitive issue, and robust red and blue color that is also a pleasing surprise for the grade. Expected light wear at the corners is in line with the EX/MT grade while a moderate right edge rough cut is a hallmark of the series and adds to the allure. The reverse is a clean slate gray, absent the common toning that is polarizing for many collectors, with bold red and blue print finishing off the package. This is an exceptional example of the grade PSA 6.
