Any Mickey Mantle card from the 1950s is an attention-getter, but the 1957 Topps issue holds a special place in the hearts of hobbyists as it provides a real-life glimpse of "The Commerce Comet" as opposed to an artist's rendering. Decently centered with surprisingly bright white borders and a well-registered image, the offered card has been graded PSA 6 but gives a strong appearance for the grade. Corner wear is appropriate for the grade and the reverse is bold and deeply struck in red and blue pigments. Mantle's first appearance after his magical triple crown season.
