Up for grabs is a fantastic example of Mickey Cochrane's outrageously colorful Diamond Stars issue, graded PSA 7. Though shifted toward the right edge, the corners and edges project closer to NM/MT as more than adequate compensation. As Detroit's player-manager, Cochrane would lead the squad to the World Series in 1934, losing to the St. Louis "Gashouse Gang" in seven hard-fought rough games, and then again in 1935, beating the Cubs in six.
