The 1949 Bowman series is notorious for poor centering and surface blemishes, but this second-year example of Stan Musial suffers from neither, delivering a nicely framed central image that is both sharp in focus yet provides an explosively colored presentation of the St. Louis legend. The reverse is lightly toned, as are most from the series, with red and blueprint as robust as the pigmentation on the front. An impressively sharp card for the conservative grade of EX/NM 6.
