One of the most mesmerizing and striking issues of the entire T206 series is the exalted yellow-backed "Portrait" variation of Walter "The Big Train" Johnson, offered here in exceptionally desirable EX 5 condition as reported by SGC. Fairly accurate centering is an obvious highlight, but even more impressive is the image itself, near-perfectly registered with no bleeding outside the periphery borders and very admirable contrast throughout the interior portrait. Every subtle nuance of Johnson's face and the jersey is delivered with a vivaciousness that rarely holds up over the cards 100+ years of existence.
