We don't often come across post-war items that are new to the hobby, but here's one that you might not know about. In nearly perfect condition as if it has been locked away in a time capsule for over 50 years, this is a 1965 "Come Alive" Sport Thill Set. There are 25 two-sided "cards" in the set, five each of baseball players Willie Mays and Whitey Ford, football player Y.A. Tittle, and wrestlers Bruno Sammartino and Jerry Graham. The cards for each subject are identical; a close-up shot on one side and a split-panel shot on the other ... that's where the "come alive" part takes place. Included is a viewfinder with instructions to pull the tab back and forth while watching the split panel image to make the subject "come to life." We've never seen a card from this series before, but here is the whole set!
