As with the extremely popular N28 and N29 sets produced by Allen & Ginter, the larger-sized N43 series contains 50 cards with just six designated for baseball players. Presented is one of those six in John Morrell (Morrill), who played for 15 years, mostly with the Boston Beaneaters. Graded PSA 4.5, the card exhibits the usual light corner rounding and edge chipping you'd expect of a mid-grade specimen, especially one that was released when Grover Cleveland was President. The image of Morrell is captivating, with the background artwork so fine and precise it defies belief. A fantastic specimen from days long past!
